Recursion by Blake Crouch

REVIEW: 5 Stars

Whats it About? This is a sci-fi thriller that you should honestly go into as blindly as possible. So all I’ll say is it’s a story about how memories shape our reality and the novel alternates between viewpoints of Barry, a NY detective investigating a phenomenon called False Memory Syndrome, where people develop a whole new set of memories of lives they’ve never lived, and Helena, a scientist who is trying to preserve memories for Alzheimer patients.

Me, reading this book in less than a day: 🙂😳🤔🤔🤯😭🙂😳😭🤯🤔🤔🤔🙂🤯🤯😭🤯😭🤯🤯

I absolutely loved this book. I got sucked in on page one and could not read fast enough. I didn’t think sci-fi was my thing but I’m so glad I decided to read this one and now plan to read all his other books!

The writing is so well done in a way that will appeal to any type of reader. The story made you feel all the emotions, it’s heartbreaking at times, so sweet, terrifying, and will surprise you. I loved all the characters and thought they were developed well and you really get invested to everyone’s storyline. The end, really the last 100 pages, were brilliantly done and will give you a mini panic attack in the best way lol.

If you haven’t read this one, you should. Even if you think sci-go thrillers aren’t your thing, try it anyway. It’s a book I’d recommend to anyone and one I’ll definitely reread in the future!
